Good to know that the systems taking artists' jobs are unable to generate a hand pose without making a second thumb.

Watching the 9/8 Zelda 40th anniversary Nintendo Direct and oh boy was that a great gameplay tease! I need to know what to call it in shorthand, though. Is it Zelda 64 R? OOTR? Ocarina of Nostalgia?

Did NMS ever get VR UI improvements? The lack of roomscale movement and rotation kind of annoyed me, but I haven't played NMS in quite a while.

I have decided not to stream tonight because I need to get some articles written and I'm way behind already. I do these articles for free, so I could just quit doing them and it wouldn't matter, but I have a kind of pride for my work that I think gets me into trouble.

I just lost ~15 hours of work on a Blender project because Win11 auto-updated to an optional preview update from a little over a month ago. I'm seriously starting to feel that itch to ditch.

I submitted the Physics Placer tool for Godot 4.7.1 to the Godot Asset Store today and set up a repo on Github for it at github.com/syrsly/physi...

It is MIT-licensed and completely free on all platforms. With that in mind, please allow time for Godot's moderators to review the asset and approve it

Took me a lot longer to get VR working, but I'm going live for a short while right now to try Knights of Fiona on HTC Vive with Index controllers.

I love when they act like there's a nearly finished project on the screen but we see something we know is decades away.
I always love looking at old tech in stuff from the 90s or early 2000s when the hosts or announcers say it's state of the art. There's just some wonderful fun in that 🤣

Just broke 4 hours worth of 3D prints. Gotta stay up late trying to print replacements due to a tiny time left til they 'need' these credit card wands.

🤩 Finally! I get to play another VR JRPG! Between this and The Blood of Dawnwalker, this weekend is busy!

I recently came to this conclusion as well... though it was more a changing of my mindset from "there are already too many games these days" to "fuck it, I'm bored of games, let's make games I actually want to play" and got back into development after a long time getting distracted by life and VR...
Yeah. I used to be that way too but eventually I just decided that I should release projects for free once I'm not going to work on them anymore, rather than releasing projects when I think they're ready. Because if it's not gonna be worked on anymore, then it might as well be public

Every single time I hear or read "grok", I think of Space Ghost's "Coast to Coast" sidekick Brak. I know, different names... but my mind wanders.
