Software engineer at Superhuman. French-American living in California. I eat squares of dark chocolate all day long. Current hobbies are learning Spanish on #Duolingo and doing some #embroidery in the evening.
Pinned
Done! It only took four months! 😅
It’s only the third kit I’ve done, but much more challenging than the other two. (and hopefully the most challenging for a bit)
I still need to rinse the blue line. I’ve also changed to a wooden hoop but the size seems slightly smaller…

#embroidery #done #proud
So-called “white collar” crimes need to be punished much more harshly. The problem is that the ones making the laws and the ones sentencing see themselves and their “kind” in the guilty.

The US is condemned to always play a game of “stupid or liar” about racism.

Every time something obviously racist comes out, the people raising the issue are called “critics” and the issue is called a “controversy”.

“I only see someone holding a pair of shoes being lit by the company’s logo” 🙄
I heard Converse posted a controversial ad and I wondered how bad it could be. Going in expecting something controversial I was still shocked by this…

“Are you wearing a tie?”

Hakeem Jeffries: “I can tell that you’re asking me a yes-or-no question on a basic, verifiable fact, and what I really want the American people to hear right now is the damage that has been done to…”

Insane.
WELKER: As Democratic leader in the House, would you vote for or against Medicare for All?

JEFFRIES: It's not legislation that I currently am co-sponsoring or that I support, but I support the notion we've got to find a path forward to fix our broken healthcare system

This is absolutely WILD. Here's the dashboard video posted by @fritschner.bsky.social. Fast forward to about 1 minute. An ICE officer jumps out of a van and pulls a gun on this woman immediately before lying and claiming she "almost ran us over."

*profanity warning if watching in public.

I'm selling a #LEGO set and had no luck on Facebook and Craigslist. So I give eBay a try and get a sale the next day! Amazing!

Now the buyer tells me he expected a fully built set because the pictures were of the set built.

People are really weird.

There clearly isn’t a direct link between AI and cheaper food and housing. And that’s clear evidence that it’s simply a lie aimed at catering to what people care and worry the most about.

He might as well say “more and deeper orgasms”.
Jeff Bezos believes AI is going to lead to unprecedented productivity gains which could result in cheaper food and housing.

Internally, Amazon employees mock the company’s AI tools, refer to its output as “slop,” and joke about the company’s failed attempt to motivate employees to use AI.
“Sloppenheimer:” Amazon Employees Mock the Company’s AI on Slack
Amazon employees have a Slack channel for memes where the mock and commiserate about the company’s faulty AI coding product.

He’s onto something… maybe laying stuff flat is easier than laying it vertically? Has anyone tested this?

He should tell his SpaceX buddy, it would save so much on fuel!!!
Trump is currently showing off a poster titled "Our Pool is Bigger than Skyscrapers" in the Oval Office

Somebody stop me: I’ve started leaving comments on YouTube videos. Not a lot, just a handful, but that’s still more than in the previous twenty years.

The post itself sounds like AI slop.

If it is, it sucks and feels hollow.
If it’s not, I guess she does need some tools because this isn’t a difficult post to write by yourself.
I’m tired, boss. These people suck.

Why do we need to be flooded with the Met gala like this? It feels like a new thing from the past few years.

This thing stinks of the worst elitism, but people don’t care because the people they think are cool are going.

Shout out to all the sweet, pure, gentle souls that doesn't know that we've been here before, and still believe that his approval rating can go lower to 20% or 15% or 10%.

It can't.

Not unless he has a change of heart and gives up on white nationalism.🤷🏿‍♂️
36% you say?

The IRS thing is truly nauseating. If it goes through as is, I’d want all of it to be treated as something like treason to the country, for everyone involved. It’s beyond corruption, it’s literally looting and to levels unimaginable.
Washington can only pay attention to a scandal or two at a time, which means in the Trump age there are all sorts of should-be-big-deal scandals that don’t get the oxygen or media focus that they should.

I'll bet you've missed at least three of these: www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/five-trump...

“According to the NBC News Decision Desk Poll released on Sunday, only 37 percent of adults approve of Trump’s work as president”

These stories have been running for over a year now and it’s always the same thing: hits new low, and the new low is the same 36-37%.

I’d like these stories to be presented as “will attempt to read”, because he’s not good at following a script without dropping some useless “flourishes”, but most importantly, it’s hard not to stumble when you read something for the very first time.

The recipient finally received these two #lego MOCs.
The set of @dropout.tv’s #GameChanger with @samreich.bsky.social of course.
And the @taskmaster.tv house with Little @alexhorne.bsky.social.
Plus random props for #Taskmaster: a golden banana, a slice of watermelon, and a red telephone.

We saw Steph and Ayesha Curry at the airport (surprisingly casual, left alone, and walking back to the garage like normal people), didn’t interact, stare at him, or take a photo out of “let people live their lives” respect.

But considering the date, my son is not 100% convinced it’s true. 😄

I think the “tax the billionaires” movement is not focusing enough on the fact that they should be distributing the wealth earlier to all the people who work for them.
Maybe it’s just that it’s the simpler (and more self-serving?) approach from a government’s perspective.

As media savvy as he sometimes sounds, when he reads these little speeches, he sounds like he’s giving a high school graduation speech.

Famously incurious narcissist who bragged many times about “acing” a simple cognitive test somehow forgot to show off his geographical knowledge of the Middle East.

I’ll pay $50 to see him reenact the tale live on TV.
RFK JR: One time, Trump grabbed a placemat, turned it over, took a Sharpie, and drew a perfect map of the Middle East. Then he marked the troop strength of every country along each border on that map. It challenged a lot of the assumptions I had been told about him.

That asshole is only 47 by the way.
Brendan Carr: “Look at the results so far — PBS defunded, NPR defunded, Joy Reid gone from MSNBC, Sleepy Eye Chuck Todd gone, Jim Acosta gone, John Dickerson gone, Colbert is leaving, CBS is under new ownership — & soon enough CNN is going to have new ownership as well”

I finally received all the parts for the first 2!
I’m very very pleased with them and will post photos later because they’re for a coworker and I want to avoid the minuscule chance it would spoil the surprise.
In the past 3 weeks, I designed 3 #LEGO MOCs with Bricklink Studio and I'm halfway through receiving the parts from 8 vendors.
I'm really amazed and grateful by Bricklink and its vendors. I can't fathom the work it takes to obtain, prepare, catalogue, package out… thousands of parts in many colors.

Nothing gets me riled up like having to navigate parental controls. But loop in Microsoft accounts in the mix and I'm ready to throw my laptop across the room.

I really get so profoundly angry!
