Etuaptmumk (Two-Eyed Seeing) guides the program in connecting Indigenous and Western ways of knowing. Led by Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community, it brings this principle to life through events and programming in and for community.
We're excited to announce that we've been accepted into the 1% for the Planet Impact Partners network!

This allows us to be connected to businesses who have made the commitment to donate 1% of their annual sales to eligible partners like us.

We look forward to making positive impact together!

June 21 marks National Indigenous Peoples Day. Today, and everyday, there is so much to celebrate, honour, and learn.

A few years ago, the Two-Eyed Seeing Program went to Keji with our youth to celebrate this day.

How are you celebrating the day?

We had the honour of volunteering at the Connection For Action Conference on gender-based violence.

We discussed statistics and first-hand stories about women in politics+workplace.

We ended the conference with an art demonstration lead by Elder Debbie Eisan and Diana Younes.

Our program gives us the flexibility to work on a variety of projects, and that’s something we’re so grateful for. Lately, we’ve been busy connecting with nature and community, developing new programming, and working on exciting initiatives.

Thank you for supporting the work we do!

May 5 is Red Dress Day.

We were honoured to attend the gathering held at MSVU.

We took time to reflect not only on loss, but also the strength in community and the shared commitment to ensuring the identities and voices are carried forward.

Our thoughts are with loved ones and community today.

We recently visited Fairview Heights Elementary School to do a Sweetgrass workshop. Invited by a parent, together we read Sweetgrass by Theresa Meuse and explored an activity from the Two-Eyed Seeing Program book kit.

If you want us to come visit your school, library, or organization...reach out!

We recently attended Elder Albert Marshall & Professor Emeritus Richard Kroeker's conversation on Etuaptmumk.

As always when Elder Albert is around, so much wisdom was shared. It was an honour to learn from the speakers, as well Elder Ann LaBillois, Elder Charlotte Bernard, and John R. Sylliboy.

The additional mirrors are now up on mural!

Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts. The mirrors are on each side of the mural, at slightly different heights, to allow even more different perspectives. We hope this is a helpful and effective change!

The mural is located at the MSVU Library.
