I’m so glad I know that Conner Leavitt is gone. As an ex-mo, he reminds me of this guy that was at church dances that we’d all try to not make eye contact with during slow songs so he wouldn’t ask us to dance (you weren’t allowed to say no and I need to unpack that in therapy).

A core memory of Lover that I will have was when it first came out. My daughter’s loved ME! and Cruel Summer. They would have dance parties listening to those two songs, making sure I was paying attention and would ask me to join in. 🥰 happy anniversary Lover!
