If Apple Home wants me to switch from Alexa, they need to do a lot better job with home automation integration. So far I've failed to add Hue to it, and there is zero integration for Tidal, Roborock, Roomba, etc. making it pretty useless.

2 weeks ago I built a raspberry pi setup for Birdnet, which uses a sensitive microphone paired with AI analysis to monitor the birds around our back yard, and it's been so awesome to monitor. We even heard a bald eagle in our neighborhood yesterday. Highly recommend this as a small project.

October 1. Even though it's 76 degrees out, set up the bird feeders and got them loaded up. But mostly just to increase the number of birdsong we hear with birdnet.

Had to run to the Apple store, and while I was there I checked out a Neo. The genius who helped me was like "oh, these are SUPER out of stock. I don't know if you've heard about the RAM shortage, but they can't make these very fast because of it." No, please tell me more about the RAM shortage!

We used to upgrade our phones every year. But the last few years, phone specs have changed so little it's stupid to upgrade every year. Apple, give us a zoom lens that actually zooms. THEN I'll upgrade. The big thing I miss from Samsungs.
