It's summer jobs time! We have received funding for an Editorial Assistant, a Records Digitizing Technician, and a Coastal Correspondent. (That's right, a youth living on the coast could work for Them Days remotely!!)

Cleaning up my office and found a small tray of artisan fruit jellies in northern berry flavours, from a research forum several years ago. The first tray was so tasty, the second was put away to savour at a later date. Are they still good? Asking for a hungry friend who worked through lunch hour. 😅

For the past 50 years, Them Days has collected stories and safeguarded Labrador's history, all with volunteer help and financial contributions from individual donors, foundations, and government departments that recognize the importance of what we do. Thank you!

The Government of NL Dept of Labrador Affairs has provided Them Days with a one-time $25,000 grant to help with our operational needs. We extend our sincerest thanks to Minister Lela Evans for her support! Thanks also to MHA Keith Russell for coming by and listening to our needs too.

Keep your money local and buy oral history magazines from Labrador that have been publishing for the past 50 years and safeguarding Labrador's history in a public regional archive. 😘 (It's us, we're that magazine and archives.)
A new initiative is here to encourage everyone to support local by purchasing products made or grown right here in NL and across Canada❤️

With so many incredible local businesses in our communities, every purchase helps keep money and jobs here at home.
