Whelp Chekov's table saw finally struck. Wasn't a finger activation. I was making a high angle miter cut (78 degrees) and I knew I needed to stop the cut before the blade contacted the back of the miter gauge... But alas.
The miter gauge is barely scratched.

One of the biggest drivers of high housing costs is that a small, highly motivated group of incumbent homeowners block new housing in their neighborhoods and almost no one is organized to push back.

Here’s one I’ve been advising & helping with— HAVN now has a proposed site in Vancouver for a floating sauna boat. They have one in Victoria already. At a meeting about whether we're going to build housing for young families like us. An elderly NIMBY got mad at @alanakinrich.medsky.social for 'being distracting' by breastfeeding our baby in the reserved seats in the front. In case you're wondering who they think should be part of this process.

This is great and all but it's also a damning indictment of NYC housing policies over the last 55 years.
