I did the pixel art animations for this, gave them to THE MICHAEL TRIUMVIRATE, they worked their sinister magics and behold! An actual music video! Just like they had in 1995! TBH, I’m still a bit bewildered that I was allowed anywhere near this, but I’m delighted with how it all came out.

In two minds over a title for this, either: “Hail to the Chief” or “Help! The President is Melting!”

Still on a bit of a #glasgowstyle kick of late, here’s a wee piece of Mr & Mrs Mack, both b&w and colour versions

Black and white cartoon portraits of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh, a pair of hugely original married Scottish artists who worked in the late 19th and early 20th century, and became increasingly celebrated & influential in the years after their deaths. Been thinkin a lot about Mackintosh recently and how much the fires at the #GSA have impacted what thoughts the mention of his name conjures to mind these days vs before. Anyway, here’s some doodles I’ve done while I’ve been thinking about him.

While doodling assorted faces, I stumbled into drawing cartoons of @michaelmisrubbish.bsky.social but doing his glasses like Spider-Man’s mask lenses to portray moods. This seems like I’ve accidentally unlocked forbidden knowledge tbh.
6 very loose cartoony head sketches of Michael M from Scottish band Slime City, his face is free of features but his glasses are show oversized and contorted into different shapes on each head to reflect general exaggerated expressions

I am so fucking distressed & angry about this news.

Seriously, _fuck_ the Glasgow School of Art board, they are dangerously incompetent and do not deserve the privilege of being custodians of The Mack

Napoleon Bonaparte made his servants break in his shoes before he wore them. His entire wardrobe was two different outfits repeated. When he arrived at St Helena he had a meltdown about the house smelling like paint. His stare was so unnerving other heads of state believed it was magical.

So I played #Mixtape today, a new #game on various platforms (I played on #xbox)
The soundtrack & art are brilliant. It’s pretty short, but i loved every minute of the 3-4 hours i spent with it, & I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough.
Anyway, here’s some #pixelart of the main characters.

Very much enjoyed the England rugby squads rendition of "God Save the Quing" just there. What a Quing is I'm not sure, but they were very keen on it being saved

British Journal of Psychiatry: Thirty-two experts find no evidence #ADHD is being overdiagnosed

www.independent.co.uk/bulletin/new...
Experts have challenged Health Secretary Wes Streeting's assertion that attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is overdiagnosed in the UK. A paper in the British Journal of Psychiatry, authored by 32 experts, warns that “alarmist” rhetoric about overdiagnosis could prevent individuals from receiving necessary care. While diagnosis rates have increased, particularly since 2020, experts suggest this reflects heightened awareness and a 'catch-up' for years of under-recognition, with rates still below the estimated population prevalence. The primary concern highlighted is the unacceptably long waiting times for ADHD diagnosis, support, and treatment within the NHS, rather than overdiagnosis. Untreated ADHD carries significant risks, including accidental injuries, suicide, substance misuse, and an increased risk of death, according to Professor Samuele Cortese, the lead author.

Companion piece to the one I did of #RoyBatty. Still massively outside my comfort zone, this one ended up a with a lot more small details than the other one as I struggled to improve the likeness.
