If you like the 1986 Amazulu hit Too Good To Be Forgotten, maybe you forgot the original from 1974. The Chi-Lites too their original to UK No 10 without ever being a hit in their native US.

Dutch rockers Kayak showing in 1973 that Queen were not the only band fusing rock music with outside influences e.g. a barrel organ.

A Dutch No 17 single that was not successful outside their native Holland.

#Forgotten70s time again.

Procol Harum burst onto the music scene in 1967 with A Whiter Shade of Pale and Homburg.

The Top 20 eluded them after that and I thought the 1974 single Nothing but the Truth would be a comeback.

It wasn't.

They did get their comeback one year later with Pandora's Box

1984 was the year for this non-hit from Fiat Lux, Blue Emotion.

The group from Wakefield Yorkshire, with vocals by Steve Wright whose voice made me think it was the Human League's Phil Oakey when I first heard it.
