Hey everyone, I'm doing a 75 mile (120km) bike ride along the shore of LAKE ONTARIO to raise money for cancer research, and it'd be really cool if some of you were willing to donate to a good cause.
My hot take on the "is A.I. an actual intelligent entity" is that we dont actually have a particularly good definition of what intelligence is in the first place.

This article is pretty poor. The poll says that Democrats overwhelming approve of the party (net +58). The most liked are ... normal Democrats. The only person who outperforms Pete on net fav is Obama.

this is a bit of an obsession of mine especially here in charlottesville. the cost of commercial real estate is prohibitive if you want to experiment and the city seems categorically opposed to small lots and small units that could allow people to start businesses without a huge capital investment

Innocent civilians are being murdered with dirt-cheap and essentially impossible to ban tiny flying robots at shocking numbers globally (read our piece below).

Frankly if people bring up IQ in basically any context in 2026, you can pretty safely dismiss anything they have to say.

Just to give further insight into the sort of intellectual capacity (or lack thereof) in this space, the person Yud is talking to here, Leopold Aschenbrenner, is notable for suffering the largest trading loss in human history after being laughed out of Wall Street
Where there is any separation between the two things, "rationalism" is team Yud and "effective altruism" is currently team Dario, and they're competing for attention and funding in that same space.
