Like it’s not that I don’t want help, it’s the fact that too many time I have indeed put myself in a vulnerable position to ask for help, people have used that as a moment to either get one up on me or fail me altogether and after enough times, I stopped asking.
if you learn to be hyperindependent because you ask for help and people don't show up; you remove said people; find new, better people; then ask for help again to the same results...then what???

People would have to recognize that happiness is not a permanent state of being but rather a general contentment with the fullness of your life. Satisfaction with where you are - even if there are improvements that could be made.
Far too many people are gonna see that word “settle” and think of all the negative connotations when really it means you stopped when you were happy.
Most people won’t settle for just a nice person who loves them.
