Literally no company has ever effectively self-regulated, as they're not incentivized to do so. There's a reason government regulatory bodies exist at all.

Beating the main quest in Torneko has convinced me I will personally do anything to have Spike Chunsoft bring ports of Shiren 1, 2 and Asuka to Switch. Did an Asuka run of Serpentcoil to help manifest this, but call me @spikechunsoftinc.bsky.social with your demands

Exactly my feelings. They took a wild punt on this and it paid off big time. I really hope we see more, because the two remakes were very good, and this was absolutely exceptional.

Finally finished Famicom Detective Club: Emio - The Smiling Man. Absolutely fantastic game. A dark, emotional game, especially its epilogue. The story goes to some very dark places (darker than the first two games!), especially near the end, and it's astonishing that Nintendo published it.
