These pairs of collies were created from identical moulds, but are finished in different colours. Amber and black glazes are typical of Bo’ness pottery figures. Each measures a little over 12 inches in length. They have glass eyes and date to around 1900.

Recumbent Staffordshire pottery dogs are rare.

They are 8 inches in length, and are said to have been produced in the 1960s.

One of a pair of hounds made by the Kent factory of Staffordshire. It is 6.2 inches in height.
It is a figure which first appeared in the late 19th century, however this piece was produced around 1950. The colouring and application are rather inferior to the early versions.

White, gilt, glass-eyed, mantel dog made by Sadler, Burslem.
Height 13.5 inches, most likely produced in the late 1940s into the 1950s.
As you'll see there is also a black, red clay, "Jackfield" version, with the same gold fleur-de-lis highlights.
