one of my worst habits as a technology owner is that when i am reading and i happen upon a good line, but i don't have a notebook near, i'll take a picture of the cover of the book and the page, with the vague expectation that i'll go back and remember what i was thinking about it later

a funny experience is seeing an OC gifset at the very beginning of a tumblr scrolling experience, and, thus primed, momentarily hallucinating that every Heated Rivalry gifset is also The OC for some reason.

one thing i hate about booking guest travel/hospitality is working with people who are a big enough deal that they Expect To Be Treated Like They're Famous, but not a big enough deal to have an assistant for you to coordinate with who you can basically talk to like a normal person

so it turns out it wasn't the vitamin c and it wasn't the taking them on an empty stomach, i can take a quarter of one of my iron tablets, with food and no c, and still feel so sick i don't want to eat again for over 12 hrs. which feels like it somewhat defeats the purpose of the exercise.

so i've been a vinyl album hipster since my 2000s teen years, but histotically i've been a grungy, bottom-of-the-line, goodwill-chic, non audiophile one, and it's only this last month that i've finally decided it was Time to slightly upgrade my setup to a decent craiglist turntable and speakers

oh! there was a baby!! this was last week! my sis and baby are both healthy and doing good and back at home, and as of the other day i am no longer hosting my mom for two weeks, so i am starting to pay attention to my own life again!
