Things I Say

I say things. Usually funny.
I am powered by caffeine and sponsored by decades of poor coping skills and irreverent humor.
I miss music listening booths at record/music/etc stores. With the headphones and sample tracks of music.

I would say I miss record stores but luckily they're still around and doing kinda well. Big box entertainment stores may have died off but record stores are everlasting.

Stoning, the biblical punishment, needs to make a comeback for crimes like what happened at Cornell. Televise it, make an example, sic semper violatores.

I wonder if there is a haunted house for the dark/monster romance fans?

Not really my cup of tea but a potentially lucrative business idea... And because I support it. Get your kicks, baby, as long as it's safe and consensual. No shame, all love.

I don't do slow burn. Life is too damn short as it is. Live until you die, throw yourself into things headlong and trust that you'll learn to fall and pick yourself back up again somewhere along the way.

Uncertainty is worse than fucking around and finding out.

Give yourself the grace to fuck up.

And, obviously, I am not saying that you should let your children do dangerous things. I'm saying that removing freedoms under the guise of "protection" / too much surveillance is harmful. Children are people and have rights. Teaching them how to be functional adults starts at birth.
I think overprotective parenting is very damaging for a child. Most children will grow to be adults, they need to learn how to healthily process traumatic experiences. The amount of adults I have met who don't have healthy coping mechanisms is ridiculous. Trauma is part of childhood. Do better.

Nah, LARPer is definitely a better word than poser. The younger generation got that one right.

I have a lot of tattoos and I really don't want to be mean or rude but chest pieces where they tattoo around the nipples always makes me giggle a bit. Suspension of disbelief in tattoo form. Totally understandable though because I bet needles to the nipple hurts a lot.

I like being a weirdo with varied interests. My social media algorithm can't figure me out. Hell, it can't even figure out my gender or orientation. It's wonderful. It's delightful. The world is so beautiful when you get out of your bubble and touch some grass.

I've been trying to set a sub 3 minute best time for the extreme difficulty level on my sudoku app for like 2 days. The closest I've got so far is 3:22.

I don't even like sudoku that much and have no idea why I'm doing this.

Lily is trying to steal my wallet and keys. This is very concerning because Lily is a 4 month old kitten.

Why did the first doctor prescribe so much medication and make false diagnosis for me and others? You guessed it: insurance fraud. Not enough patients? Need to pay for your kids college? Make up shit and charge the insurance for unnecessary things.

For profit healthcare is atrocious in the US.
So, I avoided mental health care for a long time, until I was around 35, ten years after my first experience. I lost so much of my life to recovering from the malpractice and literal physical damages from unnecessary medications. There is no justice for me, I just have to deal with the fallout.
The second doctor spent over an hour talking to me and found that I didn't have bipolar disorder. I was slowly withdrawn from all the medications. The first doctor was sued by another patient for similar reasons and retired. It's been 15 years and I'm still dealing with the repercussions.

He wouldn't listen to me, he spent 5 minutes with me and put me on a whole host of meds that made everything worse, and eventually he put me on lithium. This lasted almost 5 years until I begged my mother to get me a second opinion. By this time I was almost 24.

I got diagnosed with ADHD and ASD in my early 30s. I went to a psychiatrist when I was 19 who told me I was bipolar, despite not having mood swings, mania or major depression. What I did have was trauma from an abusive relationship. That doctor put me on so many meds I ended up hospitalized.

I could search this up but it's amusing me more not to know, but I can't remember the actor who plays Charlie Kelly's real name. Charlie something? I haven't watched IASIP in a while because I quit watching TV entirely. But I'll either remember his name randomly or never and that's exciting to me.

Oooh, I can say whatever I want!

Free Palestine, Trans Rights are Human Rights, Abortion is Healthcare, and fuck the entire US Government!

I should clarify, I don't actually hate Weezer. They have some good music, they're just not my personal cup of tea. And definitely not what I want to listen to while stuck in a machine tube.

Huh, Machine Tube would be a great band name.
I can say whatever I want to on here and no one will probably see it. That's very cool.

I'm going to say something offensive now: Weezer sucks.

I had to get an MRI one time and asked for music and the XM station they had on was doing a Weezer hour. I think you can see my despair on the scan.

Seriously though, Phil Bozeman and Randy Blythe mean a lot to me. I'm from nowhere Appalachia in VA, on the border of WV and TN. As a weird, nerdy little kid who didn't fit in, Lamb of God and Whitechapel gave me hope. At 39, they still mean the world to me and they don't even know. Love those guys.
September 21, 2026 at 5:17 PM
Oh man, I kinda like the whole not being popular, algorithm skipping me thing.

Whitechapel is great in every era, I genuinely like when bands switch up styles and evolve.

I dislike knowing that Bozeman is only 2yrs older than me. He started at what, 19? When I was 19 I was still playing Neopets.

Nothing Generative AI does is hard to do. Humans have been doing all of it for a very long time.

People who use GenAI are weak and talentless.

Is modern metalcore just hornier now or what? Like, sure, 20-25 years ago there were definitely horny metalcore songs but it seems like EVERY song is horny now.

This is not a complaint, I love it very much. Keep up the good work!

I once scared my fiance by muttering "the angels devour the bodies on the battlefield" while sleeping and I would like to know what the fuck my subconscious was doing.
