I gritted my teeth and signed up for the AI Essentials online course they've been shoving on us at work, because knowledge is power and I want to know the enemy in order to be able to combat it more effectively. Hold me, friends, I'm going in.

At long last on this sad day I am getting around to this podcast (it's been on my list since a random library patron walked in and all but begged me to listen to it with tears in his eyes) and yeah it's...really good, I should have heeded that random guy eight years ago
I recommend to you this podcast series about Dolly Parton by Jad Abumrad (creator of Radio Lab). You may ask: how did a MacArthur Award winning pub radio guy meet Dolly? Because she personally funded his father's vaccine research, that's how.

The thing is that Dinios Kol cant help that he is beautiful and bisexual and horny in the middle of books that are DEEPLY unsexy and horrifying and I love that about him

Just sat and watched my college kid type up a business email in clear, formal, grammatically correct and properly spelled English without using AI and I am so relieved and proud (yes I know the bar is on the floor these days but many of my adult colleagues cannot do this so I'm impressed!)

I just climbed up and down a five story elementary school speaking to twenty-nine classes in six hours with one fifteen-minute break and I am never, ever, EVER doing that again

Oh! I loved her. Nicest author I ever worked with. She sent flowers and a card when my daughter was born and I couldn't believe she remembered a lowly associate editor like me.
Author Jane Yolen (b.1939) died on June 11. She wrote books and novels for all ages, including Briar Rose, How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight?, and The Devil’s Arithmetic. Yolen won 2 Nebulas, a World Fantasy and was named Grand Master by SFPA, SFWA and World Fantasy. She served as SFWA President.

Pour one out for one of the smoothest voices to ever do it and while everyone is sharing their own excellent favourites from Tony Head's body of work, please enjoy this voice-off with Roger Allam from John Finnemore's radio sitcom, Cabin Pressure.

Deep in the hollow-eyed death march stages of my long (for me) WIP, it's been over two months in the trenches and the end is not yet in sight, being a human is a distant memory, someone come hand feed me an orange so I don't die of scurvy

Oh my god, what a program! They played part of the Sønderho Bridal Trilogy with a choral arrangement and I got EMOTIONAL. I felt like Murderbot trying to keep its face under control around the humans!

Quote this with your AO3 fic with the most kudos:

I don't link to my AO3 from this account, but let's just say I wrote some very explicit BBC Sherlock fic in the year 2011 and my kudos emails will never allow me to forget it in this lifetime
Quote this with your AO3 fic with the most kudos:

For me it's my first Untamed RPF fic, which was also my first explicit fic. It's 5000 words of pining and porn and I'm still pretty proud of it and can't believe it has over 900 kudos.

To struggle through trying to write this fic with a head cold or to get lightly baked and watch Bridgerton on my sick day...

The World According to Garp! I was a sheltered thirteen-year-old. It gave me some really warped ideas about what being a grownup and having sex was going to be like. But I read it until the covers fell off and then went on to The Hotel New Hampshire, so I guess I enjoyed being warped in that manner.
So what was everyone's book they read way too young?
