Back from a 3 week break, what did i miss? ;)

Renovate is awesome, but the pull requests are piling up a bit recently. Anyone have a good strategy on using LLMs/automation to manage them without just automerging everything in all projects? ;-)

Big pivot, probably first of many. Decided to ditch the "waitist signup to measure interest" and just open things up! Figured usage is an even better measure of interest ;)

So if you are planning a BBQ, Potluck or dinner party soon, go give it a whirl! joinmy.kitchen?utm_source=b...

Reporting in, struggling to train that sharing muscle frequently and disciplined. Sharing stuff here (and elsewhere) is just not what I'm used to doing. The habit is not there (yet) so never gets triggered while I'm building...

How do you do it?

One of the key features, the claim mechanics, is working great! Easy to implement with Svelte and Supabase realtime. Excited to have real users try this out!

Too many of my projects end up unfinished. I'm building this one in public. To hold me accountable and learn to do a project end-to-end. So here it is: joinmy.kitchen?utm_source=b...

One link to run your cooking event or BBQ. Use WhatsApp to chat, add this to keep things organized!

Ok, time to implement versioning in my project. Always push this out until something breaks. Today is that day: last commit hash is interpreted as a float now so docker goes boom. Statistically unlikely, but happening more often than you think (or want ;))

Low friction vs abuse protection conundrum... Wanted to keep email fully optional for my the event and rsvp flow on joinmy.kitchen but changing it to required after all.

What do you think the right balance is for this generally?

Supabase is a great platform for solo developers to launch a backend quick and easy. But having a different default table grants config for production and local is a bit sneaky...
