Wanted to update the BIOS on a 2019 Razer laptop that's running Arch, but Razer only releases official updaters for Windows. WinPE didn't work so set up a boot in GRUB to boot into the UEFI flasher, extracted the UEFI capsule from Razer's exe and just did it myself, lol.

We watched Legend tonight - the '85 fantasy film with Tim Curry and a very young Tom Cruise, and now I'm listening to an arrangement of the soundtrack. Need to find the original Tangerine Dream version, preferably on something like FLAC.

I started playing with Linux on an unused desktop PC. Started with Bazzite, then Mint, then decided to go all in and installed Arch, and dammit, I'm enjoying the Linux experience more than I enjoy MacOS. Surprisingly snappy and VERY configurable, and lots of fun to tinker with.

The problem with using lots of hand-me-down hardware is it all fails at the same time. All my HDD's are 6-8 years old and all starting to fail at once. And god damn new hard drives are expensive.

I remember making this album cover back when Wordle first became a thing. Whatever Pussy Sugar is, I'd listen to it based on this album cover alone.

I was listening to 'Van Morrison's Greatest Hits' on CD today and realized - I remember 'borrowing' a copy of this from a childhood friend's mom back in 1993. Kept it for like a year. Loved this album as a kid. Ha, I wonder how Susan's doing.

Good GOD Affinity is inapproachable as hell. Spend 45 minutes trying to make it doing its magic.. realize 'wait, Apple's Preview app can do this'... 3 clicks, 10 seconds, done.
