Going through a lot of old family stuff, I came across this photo of my gr grandfather Rowland Cox in his Civil War uniform. Although a Quaker, he was a stronger abolitionist and dropped out of his freshman year at Princeton to join the Union. Later, he stole a general’s bathrobe. It’s in my closet.
