I put up a bird feeder a week ago and the birds are finally- albeit slowly -starting to visit. This extremely cryptic cardinal is the only one I've managed to capture so far 🥲

So we have a small fire going in our patio fire pit to roast some weenies while the powers out and the neighbor has the audacity to lean over the broken fence and tell us there's a burn ban: "think about all the tinder laying around"

Found the post-hurricane holy grail: a raceway with power AND plenty of ice 🙏🙏🙏
Lots of trees and fences down, roads blocked and some siding tore off here and there but all told it looks like most houses faired alright.
I keep trying to attach photos but the towers must be damaged cause mobile data is crawling 😭
