It’s #BladeRunner day but what version is best to mark the occasion? Without digging too deep I know I have at least three different copies lying around and as far as I’m concerned Deckard isn’t a replicant in any of them.

Listening to this - great insight and I’ve found it so easy to switch you know who’s name for Trumps during descriptions of his approach to governance, economics, speaking style, and how his taste in the arts and architecture come firmly from the ass.

Blows my mind how little I see about how freakin’ awesome Zahn McClarnon has been in 4 seasons of Dark Winds - one of the best performances of the decade. #darkwinds #leaphorn

Jackie Robinson Day is one of the best things #mlb have ever done and I love that all players wear #42 as a tribute to an exemplary man. A few years ago my first ever published story was a semi-fictional look at his time in Montreal.

In the summer of 1990, the curators of a new exhibit at the Royal National Theatre in London discovered something odd and unexpected. Steamer trunks and bankers’ boxes by the dozens had been d…

well said.
It's #transdayofvisibility and I would not presume that my opinion *matters* -- but it appears we're in a time where everybody should make this clear: trans rights are human rights, I support my trans friends and fellow creators. Everyone deserves the right to flourish as human beings.

I didn’t think it was possible to like this guy any more but then he shares this essay about his life in baseball. And apparently if you need a place to crash in Toronto you go to Davis Schneider’s pad.

Dear Jays Fans | By Ernie Clement
Baseball is my favorite thing in the world, man. And I’m so honored I get to play it with the Jays and in Toronto.

As a Jays fan I think we’ve had some great broadcasters over the years so I’m biased but the Netflix team of Vasgersian, Sabathia and Pence aren’t bad. #mlb #openingday #jays

Has there ever been one iota of evidence of the brilliant leadership and incisive tactical mind that every cabinet official claims is steering the mighty ship of state. He’s a means to an end for the worst people and absolutely the dumbest motherfucker in any room he inhabits. #25th

DVR Cleanup - Odd Man Out (1947) Love a good heist/robbery goes wrong movie with an on the run component as James Mason is wounded in a fundraising robbery for “the organization” in Belfast. The chases through the backstreets and alleys are like a warm up for The Third Man a year later.

DVR Cleanup Day #5 Narrow Margin-Great little noir that does its job in 71 minutes with little fuss and zingy dialogue. And Marie Windsor - wow! Easy to see why she was cast in roles where men lied, cheated, robbed, and killed for her. “A bucket of coffee and some cigarettes. I’m famished.”

DVR Cleanup Day #4 My Favorite Year Acting from the cast was a bit broad which fits for a movie about 1950s comedy/variety television but Peter O’Toole is having a blast as a washed up B movie swashbuckling movie star.
“So is this ma’am but I occasionally have to run a little water through it.” #TCM

DVR Cleanup Day 4 - comedy doubleheader with The Fortune Cookie up first. Hard to think of an actor as versatile as Jack Lemmon who can move between comedy and drama so effortlessly-Tom Hanks must have been taking notes.
And Matthau’s shady shyster is so much fun. #TCM

DVR Cleanup Day #3 - Mutiny on the Bounty (1962) - Richard Harris is a delight, Trevor Howard deserved an Oscar nom for the unyielding take on Bligh, production values and photography are amazing and Marlon Brando makes a ton of interesting choices but his charisma is off the charts. #TCM #movies
