80 hours of embroidery! This aerial landscape is directly inspired by Dartmoor and I'd say I have another 30-ish hours to go? I'm now starting to fill in the fields for the sheep, the tor area will be done last as I'm still deciding whether I want a slope or not 😅 I hope you like it! #art

So I learned today that HW has been passive-aggressively reminding my mum that my dad (with whom she had a traumatic divorce nearly 20 years ago) is STILL PART OF HER FAMILY and she should GO VISIT HIM. Uhhh I think we need to have a conversation about divorce.

At the moment HW is doing a thing where he wakes up at 3am, yells MUUUUUM at the top of his voice, then immediately falls back asleep once we check in on him. It's driving us crazy but he so clearly is not fully awake/conscious in that moment that we just have to wait for him to grow out of it.

I had a delighted memory today of someone I went to uni with, who, along with a very hot engineer who lived in our residence, was part of an evangelical community; she once told him off for walking around topless, said he was inflaming her lust and he should cover up. Legend.

I forgot to say the most important thing which was that Ify and Erika did a meet and greet for about an hour after the show, waited for everyone, were so gracious and sweet and SO attractive, and now I have TOUCHED BOTH OF THEM. Bisexual heaven.
So I went to see an improv show last night with Ify Nwadiwe and Erica Ishii, which was great fun, although unfortunately the sound was bad and I couldn't hear about 25% of what was said, but I still laughed a lot. A weird thing though - 1/2

I'm reading Hild and I'm enjoying it a lot. It's very beautifully written and while the pace is very slow I'm enjoying the immersive world and the fact that the author is frequently like "and then she was traumatized for six months."

The most absolutely massive flex from the state fair exhibit. This quilt is made of 40 years of prize ribbons from various categories at the New Mexico State Fair won by Carol St. Clair Johnson. She also won a prize for this quilt.
