Sorry to say this but if you're using AI don't be surprised if people don't want to play your games, buy your art, listen to your music, or use your apps. It's unfortunate but this is inevitable. It's already happening. Get on board with rejecting AI now or get ready to be left behind.

I really like @gameonysus.bsky.social's perspective in this episode on the subjectivity of game difficulty (starting around the 1:18:00 mark). You can implement systems that give the player balancing options but even those will be subjective.

The puppet episode of Strange New Worlds was actually really fun! It tells an existential story in a way that somehow still feels like #startrek, even if it's very silly. I especially liked Pelia's wiggly hair!

I still wish SNW was the return-to-form they originally pitched but what can you do.

I've been learning Unreal for almost a year and I feel like Blueprints are crushing me. I get that they're extremely valuable to a lot of devs but there are so many points of frustration. Most of them stem from the binary format and inability to diff/merge changes. Goes against my entire workflow. 😩

Might be a longshot, but I'm looking for pitch decks made with the intent to seek publisher approval to utilize their legacy IP prior to beginning development.

Every pitch deck I've made previously, the game has at least been in pre-production where I have content and art assets to point to.
