Another gorgeous mushroom growing on a fir tree in a forest park. Please identify it if you can, thanks. I'm guessing it's the same type as the other one I just posted despite the color and shape difference. It's as large as a dinner plate.

Like a giant butterfly. Went for a walk in the nearby forest park and found this gorgeous mushroom. Can anyone identify it, please?

My menu representing our melting pot: Irish Guinness, French fries (sweet potato Southern version), Mandarin chicken, homegrown berries on pavlova, which originated in various forms in Europe and became a thing in Australia and New Zealand. Coffee and chocolate from the Americas. #food #holiday

The last of my peonies. A few days of sudden heat fried those who remained. Waiting on the dahlias now and grateful for the beauty in this world as it comes and goes. #flowers #garden #FlowersFriday

A somewhat-rare Matilija poppy always draws me in. Also known as the fried-egg flower, they are native to California, but I saw this one in Washington.

Please meet Harold. He likes to hang out at the pond in a nearby cemetery. Maud was absent today.
