How can they justify leaving right now?

Diesel costs just hit an all-time high. Our nation is at war. The bond market is quivering. The urgency of AI regulation has come to a critical moment.

Congress should be working overtime. Instead Speaker Johnson sent them home.

Concerned Susan Collins™️ is probably concerned that she is losing the buffer that allows her to vote against Trump when it doesn't affect the outcome, a move that has been allowing her to trick Mainers into believing she's not Trump's puppet.

I keep seeing defenses of Al Franken whenever the news highlights sexual assault by D politicians (Swalwell, Platner), the idea being that Franken is an example of someone who was unfairly treated and CLEARLY we memory holed that entire controversy.

This was his SEVENTH accuser, a Democratic aide:

Democrats should pay Donald Trump for writing and starring in their unedited campaign ads.
Trump on Iran War:

Reporter: What extent are Americans’ financial situation motivating you to make a deal?

Trump: Not even a little bit. I don't think about Americans’ financial situation

We still need to remember the VA Supreme Court might rule that the referendum election was illegal. It's the last hurdle and is out of the hands of the voters and the legislature. I'm happy about tonight's results, but definitely don't want to count my chickens before they hatch.

Eric Swalwell had some good viral moments, but he has always given me the ick. The vibes were off, and now I know it's because his entire public persona was an act.

Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of our democracy. But right now, they’re under attack.

Several Republican-controlled states have redrawn their congressional maps to give themselves an unfair advantage in the midterm elections.

If I were on the Olympic men's hockey team then I'd try to set myself apart by telling him to his face that he's a physically repulsive low IQ loser who smells worse than a wet dog that just rolled in a pile of poo that was in a hot dumpster with 100 dead fish soaking in spoiled milk for 12 hours.

never in my life would I have expected a FIFA Peace Prize winner to behave this way
WH sources say Venezuela's opposition leader committed the "ultimate sin": She accepted the Nobel Peace prize.

“If she had turned it down and said, ‘I can’t accept it because it’s Donald Trump’s,’ she’d be the president of Venezuela today,” one said.

It really is amazing that the president has a noticeable an unexplained physical ailment that is disfiguring his right hand and there's no reporting about it. The White House's line is that it's from Trump shaking too many hands! Something is clearly being covered up.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk is horrific, it's likely to lead to a very dark spiral that will worsen political violence, and it is also a byproduct of a profoundly broken society awash in 400 million guns.
