What Even Is An OS Now?
Computers now work the way I thought they did when I was 8. What does computing look like when most applications have an audience of 1-2 people? I'm leaving Fly.io to build a phone for that world.

There's an unreleased monitor that I desperately want (Asus PG27UCWM) and as far as I can tell, the only way to be notified when it's released would be to sign up for their super spammy email list and then sift through the garbage for the announcement.

Change in quality between the initial printing and the later “on demand” printing is wild. Really glad I still have the original copy!

VS Code has this problem where every new feature that they add is turned on by default, leading to an enormous amount of visual clutter. Turns out that if you painstakingly turn all of this off, it's a perfectly fine editor!

It'd be really cool to have a text editor that is hyper-malleable but also has a lot of training data in the LLM learning corpus so that Claude could make project-specific editor UIs for me while I code.

I’m so happy that I managed to completely remove Windows from my development and personal computing use. Every time I see sometime from Microsoft it’s like Ha Ha, we’re making it worse!
