It should terrify everyone that a green card holder was black bagged and disappeared to Louisiana simply for having opinions this administration dislikes. They're building the prisons and camps to do it to citizens. The time to stand up to this is now.
Until last night, the ICE detainee locator stated Khalil was at Elizabeth, NJ—even though his wife had been unable to find him there yesterday. This morning, his location has been updated to Jena — a very remote, GEO group-run facility in the middle of rural Louisiana.

Masks and handwashing work very well against the current form of flu, in the first year of Covid, when more people were masking, we knocked out an entire strain of flu. So there’s yet another reason to start wearing them.

The reporting on the trans travel visa ban is criminal.
It does NOT only affect transgender athletes.
The cables CLEARLY say it affects all trans people. They can reject visas on point 6 of anyone who is requesting a visa that does not match their assigned sex at birth.

The practical implementation of this ban by tiktok is completely over the top. It's overcompliance to an extreme degree while praising Trump. It's clear that this is political at this point. This isn't simply an IP ban, it's an account level ban tied to accounts with registered US phone numbers.
Just tried on desktop. I was able to access the site with a VPN but once I logged in, it gave me the ban notice. I think this is specific to US based accounts and cannot be circumvented with a VPN.

It should be clear by now that many (mostly white people and cis men) never stopped believing that some people were property, even if they hid those beliefs for a while. BIPOC people have been telling us this the whole damn time.
In the Trump 2.0 era, we can expect to see escalating rhetoric that some people really aren’t people, they’re property—either of the state or of their family patriarch. So much for the dignity of equality.
