The Buffalo EOC is doing remarkable work helping community members reach their academic & career goals. I was inspired by our students' hard work & the dedication of staff, who have created meaningful opportunities in allied health, building trades, and GED & college preparation.

Joined by medical students, #UBuffalo colleagues & our partner institutions, the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus Block Party was a wonderful opportunity for me to meet with members of the community to learn how UB engages in their neighborhoods & how we can have a greater impact.

Our faculty are the heart of innovation at #UBuffalo. I saw that during my conversations at the Higher Education Leadership Academy listening session, where faculty were thinking creatively to empower the success of our students.

During my visit to #UBuffalo’s Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences, I saw a breadth of educational experiences and research happing across the center, including work from Empire AI and the health sciences.

The medical students I met Tuesday appreciate #UBuffalo’s sense of community & the diversity of clinical experiences enriching their education. I want to understand how we can create even more opportunities for our future physicians to build their clinical expertise.

I love seeing how our #UBuffalo students are putting their classroom knowledge into practice. The Behling Human Simulation Center gives students an interdisciplinary experience that prepares them to solve challenges by working collaboratively.

Disciplines intersect in unexpected ways at universities. I saw that at the Anderson Gallery, where art enriches learning across #UBuffalo. I look forward to learning more about how the arts & humanities contribute to UB & Buffalo’s intellectual & cultural community.

Monday was the 1st day at #UBuffalo not only for me, but for our 1st-year dental students. I loved seeing that same mix of excitement and anticipation that comes with beginning something new.
