In Kazakhstan, a new final-four format saw defending champions and previously perfect Aktobe fall in the semifinals to Turan. BIIK Shymkent then won the final 3-0, securing a return to UWCL after a year off.

The first bids to the 2027-28 #UWCL were locked up in the last few days.
In Kazakhstan, a new final-four format saw defending champions and previously perfect Aktobe fall in the semifinals to Turan. BIIK Shymkent then won the final 3-0, securing a return to UWCL after a year off.

Here are the pots for Friday's #UWEC QR2 draw. I expect 2 (maybe 3) groups, similar to the QR1 draw. While national conflicts aren't a concern (the only one remaining is Ukraine/Belarus and the remaining teams are both seeded), there are 7 nations with teams in each pot.
