It has been six years since the Gender Autonomy Act was passed in Iceland. In those six years, none of the usual fears that anti-trans advocates warn against have manifested - and trans people, non-binary people and intersex people have enjoyed increased rights and protections.
From tomorrow, queer men and trans women in Iceland will be allowed to donate blood like everyone else. Regulation that banned them from donating blood based on who they had sex with have been scrapped, after the health authorities introduced NAT-screenings alongside a more thorough risk assessment.

Það hefur nú verið frekar áberandi að stuðningsmenn Miðflokksins og forsvarsfólk þeirra hefur verið hávært í umræðunni gegn réttindum hinsegin fólks. Ætli þau fari á einhvern yfirsnúning þegar þau fatta að oddviti flokksins í borginni mættu galvaskur í Gleðigönguna um helgina? Nei ég segi svona.

Þar sem fólk er alltaf að tala um trans fólk í sundi hef ég ákveðið að upplýsa ykkur öll um sundferðir mínar í stuttum vísum:
