London: Over fifty people filled the room for our Solidarity in Action event in support of Protect the Harvest last week. It was a very engaged and emotional evening. Big thanks to our wonderful speakers, FoST activists Beau Sebastian, Marcia Gamsu, and David Bier and our special guest Finn Joughin.

We welcome newly announced sanctions on settlements. The Israeli mainstream isn’t prioritising ending the occupation, hence the need for grassroots activism by groups like Standing Together. These sanctions help them argue the occupation isn’t just morally abhorrent but economically irrational.

Rosh HaShana, or the Jewish New Year, begins on Friday at sundown. It’s a deeply meaningful time and the start of a period when Jews are told to think deeply on their actions and to ask forgiveness not only from God but from other human beings for wrongdoing. (1/3)

It is a privilege to have been elected as Chair of the Joint Committee on Human Rights. This committee performs a crucial role in ensuring each bill that goes through Parliament respects human rights. We also carry out focussed inquiries on a diverse range of issues that impact us all.
