A 30 million-year-old fossil that sat entombed in rock in an Oregon museum collection has been confirmed to be one of the most complete fossils of a pre-Ice Age dog called Mesocyon coryphaeus by U-M paleontologist Anne Kort. myumi.ch/4xjpd

Over the past three years, the Lab Reuse Program at Michigan Medicine has rehomed over 9,000 lbs of surplus research supplies. By giving unused equipment a second life, the program has helped campus labs save nearly $416,000. myumi.ch/e7zwM
The Lab Reuse Program supports U-M labs and U-M’s waste reduction goal by enabling surplus chemicals, lab equipment, and materials to be used in other campus labs rather than being sent out for disposal.
