Back in June vs today. It’s interesting that you can have a half baked insight into what could work, but then it takes weeks to get anywhere half decent.

Finishing up a huge round of feedback for the #Zaparoo Frontend. Massive optimisations throughout for browsing, some design tweaks and working on some configurable colour palettes. Planning for a release next week after some Core features. Also wanna do some fun things like background music manager

Rolling out a big CRT update for MiSTer MagiK. This is still miles from where I want the UI to be. But proves you can get full screen cross fading screenshots, overlaid with scrolling text and running at 60fps. github.com/NigelBreslaw...

- TATE mode for people too lazy to tilt their heads.
- Lots of performance tweaks.
- SNES showing hints of what the next UI refresh will bring.

Another test of #Zaparoo Frontend with the MiSTer Magik backend. I think I’m happy with this now, everything I wanted works, just some specific animations to make the UI easier to understand and feel faster. This will be parked until after a new update of the old Qt backend, then we can migrate

Playing around with a demo of #Zaparoo Frontend using @unintuitive.com’s insane MiSTer Magik backend. A few tricks involved but here’s 1080p with background music running at the same time. Absolutely nuts

Turns out there were quite some issues in the screensaver. It will be significantly smoother in the next update. I also slowed it down by 25% to make it feel a bit calmer.
