@scrollforinit.bsky.social I have not played a session in A5E yet though I have toyed with trying to pull maneuvers for martial classes into D&D. I have also gotten the sci-fi expansion, Voidrunner’s Codex, and want to use that as a way to run a space opera game.

I recently found the BBC adaption of the Scarlet Pimpernel and Three Musketeers on streaming today. It makes me think about how to design a D&D campaign set in the high renaissance with muskets, rapier duels, politics, and adventure. D&D24 seems to focus more on a rulesets over rules. #dnd #5e

I have overall enjoyed the D&D 2024 refresh though seeing the books coming out I think being a DM will be more about limiting character options than including everything. They are building a tool kit and then the DM will need to choose what to include or not!
