A Meditation on Chapter 17 of our Way of Life.

Jesus meets me with a gentle, gracious love every time I succeed & every time I fail. Yet I don’t always meet myself with that same gentle response. How wonderful would that be, where each time I failed, I gave myself the love & grace Jesus does?

"The ways Simon Peter’s senses were experiencing Jesus in the moment of his Christological confession were not different from weeks or years earlier... The way that Peter was experiencing the world had not changed, but our God had done something within him."

Yesterday (August 21) the founders held a vote and chose Paul and Jordan to be our establishing Abbots. Pray for them!

They will hold this role and title until such a time as a there are a sufficient number of professed Monastics to hold a vote for our first two General Abbots of Urban Monastics.

My meditation on this weeks Gospel reading from Matthew 15 - the Canaanite Woman of Faith.

I know these 8 minutes reading it will bless you and encourage you for the week.
A Weekly Lectionary Meditation

One thing about who the Canaanite woman was made her an outsider. Yet, Jesus saw through this & saw her when His world did not. He accepted her. Jesus saw me and accepted me. She knelt before Jesus and asked for mercy so that someone she loved would be healed.
