Cw rape

I think we can work down from the maximalist, overly bloodthirsty demand of Die as your weakling fathers died. Soulless. Honourless. Weeping. Ashamed. to a reasonable demand that you fuck off and vanish like the average survivor is forced to

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed
cw rape

I think rapists should at a minimum be made to live the life of the average survivor and if you want that to be less shit then fucking make the lives of survivors better

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

It's actively insanity inducing to be a survivor and a feminist right now because in the face of the sheer ubiquity of sexual assault and the lack of consequences for it, we're all being besieged by demands that we think of the rapist men, forgive the rapist men, cleanse the souls of the rapist men

Restorative justice doesn't mean "nothing bad ever happens to you."

It means, "in determining what happens from here on out, we center the needs of your victim to repair what happened to them over your own needs."

I think the most loving thing someone could have told to me during the many years I was trying to make bisexuality work is that sleeping with men was not mandatory. Not that it contaminated me or anything like that but that I was allowed to stop if I wanted to.
You don't need to trip over yourself to tell lesbians that "it's okay to sleep with men!"

Every institution, cultural norm and social pressure is constantly telling us it's okay to sleep with men. Most of our families would be ecstatic if we slept with men. We got the message. It's fine. Shut up.

That's the blunt truth behind all the philosophical arguments.

Men can rape women and face no consequences most of the time.

Even before a single cop or barrister enters the equation, most communities protect and shelter rapists from consequence. Cast doubt on victims. Appeal to the rapists' character, beg to consider their futures and potentials, plead for this "mistake" to be overlooked.

Victims have nothing. No one.

It's true that the "justice" system frequently sides with rapists, lets them off the hook and re-traumatizes victims. And it's true that trusting a punitive carceral system is folly anyway.

Effectively, we live in a world where socially and legally, there are no consequences for committing rape.

Society is built on the assumption that women should be available to men, it doesn't need your help actually, you aren't doing groundbreaking new work you are repeating the systems message.

I think its fucking telling about the patriarchal rape culture we're in that a bunch of people have spent the same week as the Cornell news trying to tell lesbians we need to be more open to being with men and we're evil if we don't.

Its actually ok to evolve your understanding of your identity and sexual orientation you dont need to argue for the idea that lesbians want men, something patriarchal thinkers have pushed forever. You sound like every lesbians most homophobic family member asking when we'll find 'the right man.'

Had to block a former mutual who was arguing that lesbians disgust at the idea of personally having sex with a man was like straight men being grossed out by the concept of gay sex. The reason we're disgusted at the idea is it would only happen if the man raped us, cause we dont want them.
The reason most lesbians are so fucking cagey and angry about this topic is because all of society is gagging to tell us how much more enlightened and moral and inclusive it is for us to include men in our sexuality, and refuses to take no for an answer.

So take the hint.

i just feel like with Male Queerness i feel way more allowed to be gay and say gay shit, but if lesbians get too lesbian with it, everyone grabs their torches and pitchforks and now we get to have 2 week long inter community discourse about the same topic for the billionth time lol

like going from lesbian culture to gay culture is pretty jarring in general. like of course homophobic pressure exists, but like, i genuinely truly do not encounter anything akin to things like "bi lesbian discourse" or anything like it on any level as frequently as lesbians do

whenever these discussions come up again, as a former lesbian turned bisexual-maybe-gay man, i reflect a lot on how in the gay spaces i frequent there are barely gay men arguing with each other about how we need to include women and attraction to women more in our spaces and discussions lol

you know I don't think it's a real social problem that people don't care enough about men or that people don't acknowledge that it's okay for women to have sex with men enough like I don't think these are real things to worry about especially with Cornell being a topic and everything around it

Till i transitioned i was generally very much afraid of being in the company of solely men cos i knew that i was nowhere on their hierarchy and so did they once they interacted with me.
I'm sick of the pretense that male homosociality isn't based in the veneration of violence against the vulnerable. I have seen the inside of men's "brotherhoods" and all they are is hierarchies of violence where anyone who doesn't support predatory behavior becomes a target of it.

nearly every trans woman, if not literally all of us, have seen this. we've seen men in groups, what they say about women and queers, how they treat *each other*, and it's horrifying! it's no wonder why the few I trust personally were never there

plenty of men who seem fine become beasts in private

That politicians feel empowered to so brazenly assist institutions in covering up and getting away with sexual abuse is an indictment of our society and culture, and how badly they continue to fail women.
Gov. Gavin Newsom on Wednesday sought to rein in a wave of legal claims that have pushed some local governments and school districts in California to the brink of bankruptcy, after earlier laws made it much easier to sue over child sexual abuse.
