My short play, Breaking Eggs, is about to be published in an anthology & I’ve riffed on aspects of Pirandello’s drama. I’ve also taken absurdist elements from Darius Fo’s Accidental Death of an Anarchist as well as Bertolt Brecht’s techniques of alienating the audience in some of his earlier plays.

I’m not sure if this is AI nonsense or whether it has some basis in fact. There’s long been talk of a screenplay version of the story with various projects getting as far as pre-production but then not progressing any further. I did a search for any new ones. @dagenhaminvince.bsky.social

Here's my review of Rory Waterman's wonderfully informative new book, Devils in the Details, an exploration of Lincolnshire folklore, which is due for publication on May 7. There's a link embedded to an author article too. aspectsofhistory.com/book_reviews...
Devils in the Details: On Location with Folk Tales in England’s Forgotten County, by Rory Waterman - Aspects of History
Rory Waterman's examination of Lincolnshire's folklore, tracing how legends like Yallery Brown and the Lincoln Imp have evolved over time through storytelling, embellishment, and cultural memory.

How wonderful to see the Cloud 9 anthology by Kobold Blue Productions listed in this week’s Radio Times podcast recommendations.

At Louth Town Hall with a copy of the book my piece The Ghosts of Winceby features in. Had an interesting chat with someone who told me that Lloyd George abandoned a speech here after being heckled by a Suffragette. Also Jeffrey Archer was declared the winner of a general election for Louth here.

Going to London next Thursday just after the school I’m working at breaks up. Will have a busy few days as on Friday there’s the launch party of a speculative sci-fi audio drama anthology I’ve written an episode of then the following day I’m seeing two shows both with people I know in them.

Here’s the absolutely amazing poster for The Long Player, a short film that I’ve written. There’s so much that goes into making a film no matter what the length so thanks very much to everyone listed on it.
