Seems unlikely, given how crafty the brain is about getting the most flexibility possible out of a pretty static setup of neurons. Tl;dr for our other work: acetylcholine (ACh) release is wildly non-uniform in space and time! This time, we looked at norepinephrine (NE) release across the cortex.
