I think this is correct and one thing interesting about it is the number of people who 'live in a bubble' is probly at a historical high, maybe the majority now, so that 'bubble' is now the norm which means the moral charge to 'you live in a bubble' is outmoded yet it still retains that charge.
"Well I don't have a TV or a radio so it's not surprising I haven't heard the song"

You live in a bubble. What you're describing is a self-curated bubble. If you haven't heard the song that's been #1 on the charts for 23 weeks, you live in a bubble and you should probably be aware of that.

genuinely so fucking funny to read this and just go 'huh'. was the author doing this intentionally or do they actually think whatever langley is is universally recognized
This kind of take made a Rolling Stone writer so mad they wrote a whole piece about it.

i take an iced coffee to the job interview. i am silent the entire time. i am here only as transport and if necessary, protection. my iced coffee impresses the interviewer iced coffee. it gets the job. it will gain status among the other iced coffees. as its human, i will be made more comfortable.

Ok, this "there are two separate brains" thing appears to be making the rounds, and I want to be absolutely clear: this is a press office overhyping some perfectly reasonable science that won't come as a surprise to most developmental biologists.

Over 20,000 precious Palestinian children have been killed and children continue to be killed every day.”

'a point of contention' haha oh god
Exclusive: The Office of Remigration, a new initiative under the Trump administration, marks an extraordinary break in U.S. foreign policy.

The office’s name itself is a point of contention, as the term has been popularized by European white nationalists.

As part of boot camp, Alpha School students apparently have their heart rates monitored as they watch recorded videos of their parents critiquing them. This activity takes place in front of their classmates, and students must keep their heart rates within 10 percent of their baseline to pass.

Retaj's siblings are on here every day trying to get help for their family. Their sister has a bullet in her brain. A baby sister with hourly needs. An uncaring world.

Unless and until. Clicking "weekly/monthly" on just a five.

The Internet Archive needs a lot of 18TB and larger hard drives.

As quickly as this administration is erasing stuff, archivists are trying to capture it faster. As fast as crumb-bum publishers delete decades of journalists' and artists' work, IA is rushing in to grab it. @archive.org

Can you help?
You know, honestly, more than monetary donations, if somebody worked at a company that had access to a lot of 18 terabyte and larger hard drives and could talk to us, that's where we are really suffering. The internet archive has no special priority in buying hard drives and those things are insane.
The ongoing 429 errors are due to a variety of infrastructure issues and repairs being done on Wayback. Sorry, folks
