Feeling overwhelmed with all of this. LISTEN. Another Louisiana resident (Marshawn is the only name we have) testifies against the state’s racial gerrymander, speaking truth to power up and down the hearing room and predicts how this story will end.

This is really sad.
Heartbreaking. Jason was a brilliant and courageous human. And a pretty darn good basketball player too.

This needs to be on constant loop in every media market this fall.
Trump on Iran War:

Reporter: What extent are Americans’ financial situation motivating you to make a deal?

Trump: Not even a little bit. I don't think about Americans’ financial situation

The Trump regime actually let two guys with zero government experience use ChatGPT to cancel $100M in grants—including Holocaust education. A federal judge just humiliated them, called it unconstitutional, and reversed every single cut. Read how she did it:

WHAT IF I HAVE A REASON??
Blanche: "Many people in this room have done it as well. They're just as guilty as a lot of people on X. When you have reporters, when you have media just being overly critical and calling the president horrible names for no reason, it shouldn't surprise us that this type of rhetoric takes place."

This. Lots more of this, please. The political diversity of media will die if the media itself doesn’t fight for its own independence.
"There’s no clean way to hive off terms like 'fascism' or 'authoritarianism' from Trump’s policies. Even if you disagree that the words apply, their use is backed up by a genuine attempt at intellectual justification for it."

I talked to Jamie Raskin about his explosive exchange with CNN's Dana Bash.

"The media should understand that the survival of the free press is at stake right now," he tells me. "There is only one party in America trying to censor and control the press.”

A documentary film based on my book, Henry Ford’s War on Jews and the Legal Battle Against Hate Speech (Stanford, 2012) is being screened at Jewish community film festivals this winter and spring. See SapirovFord.com. I had no idea 14 years ago that this book would have such present-day relevance.

Absolutely incredible.

Since the New Deal, the right edge of the conservative movement has been committed to the goal of eliminating all facets of the federal government that do good in the world, leaving behind only a war machine and a surveillance operation capable of containing the “internal leftist enemy.”

This time, when a 32-year-old Nicaraguan man died, ICE bypassed the county medical examiner in favor of a military facility. They won’t publicly release a ruling.

- file impeachment articles every day in the House

- withhold unanimous consent in the senate and filibuster every nominee

- be everywhere with comms saying this is lawless and impeachable
