There are only a handful of Democrats in the country saying these things, and I absolutely agree it makes sense for trans people in their districts to feel like they’re stuck with bad options.

Guys no, I don’t think it’s okay. I think Talarico’s comments were irritating and an obvious walkback. A couple of the others - Acton, Turek - were unacceptable to me.

Again I'm not getting into these tedious arguments. Democrats are an EXTREMELY pro trans rights party as evidenced by their votes at both the state and federal level - INCLUDING Talarico. The whole reason the GOP can attack Talarico on the issue is BECAUSE of his voting record.

I support arts funding but it being the thing that makes a city a place for artists is smaller vs adorability (i.e housing costs)
Berlin, NYC became art hubs not because of direct funding but because an artist could bartend 3 nights a week and afford to live. Art comes from proximity and free time.
