Been thinking about Pokémon romhacks lately. a reoccurring idea I've had if I was to ever make one was of a somewhat Alice in wonderland inspired hack, of a story about a trainer from the normal Pokémon world falling into an absurd alternate world with the goal of trying to get back home...

I need to see who this guillotina character is that I keep seeing on here. All I know is that she's from mewgenics and looks like a Snorlax for some reason.
I assume with a name like that, she must do a lot of killing In the game or something.

Now,I do worry if this art direction is somewhat at poor timing thanks to the Advent of generative AI. This kind of excessive maximalism is very common in AI generated imagery both fantasy and otherwise, and I do worry if this does make the remake fly too close to that kind of association.

I've been researching suicide and something I've read & found interesting was the idea that mental health is often used as a smoke screen to direct blame away from the current economic system, so rather than saying the economy drives suicide they can just say folks brains aren't working right...

So only yesterday I learned about that whole Pokémon Snowgrave romhack and I'm not sure which annoys me more, the fact I'm a month late to the party, or the fact that this didn't make all that big of a splash from what I could see...

It's interesting to think about kink driven fan character designs and just how far you can deviate from the base idea. Like at this point does this even remotely look like a creeper anymore?
I don't mind either way, in the end he is whatever he is now.

So I do have a pretty specific attraction to the idea of expandable and extremely volatile creature, bonus points if they having glowing features to really hammer in how potentially dangerous they are. This is the primary idea behind behlbestes and has been rubbing off into creepers lately...

Three out of an assortment of random sketches I recently did of a personal take on the creeper from Minecraft I did a year or two ago, where I did something influenced by the more llama like depictions I've seen here and there.

Deltarune is a fantastic game, but I think it really shouldn't be classified as an RPG let alone an action RPG.
It is an action game at it's core, and it has only become more of an action game with each chapter as bossfights and gameplay challenges lean more on mechanical execution over strategy.

An old sketch I ran into that was reference to an old reverse digdug game I was working on at the time.
You play as a fygar and when inflated you could belly bump diggers into walls to crush them. though unintentionally, you could also crush them the same way by climbing over them on a ladder.

I've been looking for a way to effectively talk about my card game from a mechanical standpoint.
It feels like it's easier to share what a card looks like rather than what it does and how that matters in the context of the game at large...

If I had one complaint about deltarune chapter 5, it would be that it does a thing Undertale does that I find a little annoying, where it's like:
"Ha! I'm going to do violence to you!"
*Attacks them*
"NOO!!! Don't do violence to me! you big bully!!"
"Hmph! now I don't want to hang out with you!"
"Ha! I'm going to do violence to you!"
