Thank you all. For everything.

Please don't let anyone say that the results of the NY-03 primary prove that a progressive candidate can't win.

I started absurdly late. No ads. No mailers. I spent the last 4 months afraid that I might get <100 votes.

More than 5,200 people—20%—voted for change.
I apologize for the delay in getting out this statement. Like nearly every other weekday of this campaign, I had to work today. Congratulations to Rep. Suozzi. I wish you luck in November. Now that that’s out of the way, let me start by saying thank you. I am so grateful to every person who showed up to support my campaign. Like many people who come from modest backgrounds and go on to do things the world says they can’t, I often struggle with imposter syndrome. Every single one of the thousands of votes I received means more than I can say. Thank you for putting your trust in me. I hope that the people who dared to believe in a better future feel energized by this result rather than defeated. This was not an electoral win, but it was a win. Let me explain. These results are not proof that Suozzi’s constituents broadly support his votes, or that a candidate promising change cannot win in this district. Quite the opposite, in fact. Challenging an incumbent is always an uphill battle, even when they are deeply unpopular. This campaign faced absurd obstacles above and beyond the incumbent advantage. To name just a few: I was only running for about 4 months. We began on 2/17/26, 6-8 months later than what is typical for a House race. I never quit working full time. My campaign work took place almost exclusively during nights and weekends, because my family couldn’t afford to lose my income. I started with zero name recognition. There were no debates, and there was almost no media coverage of the NY-03 primary. Congressional races normally cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Suozzi had more than $3 million in the bank when I entered the race. I am so grateful for every dollar that was donated, but “we were outspent” is an understatement: We did not buy a single ad. We did not send a single mailer. We had no phonebanking (phone lists are expensive!). With the exception of my logo, I saved money by doing my own design work (without AI!). Even so, our small printing budget limited our canvassing reach. Despite all of that, 1 in 5 voters cast their ballot for me. A candidate with no name recognition and a modest budget, who built an entire campaign from scratch in only four months’ worth of nights and weekends, managed to earn 20% of the vote against an incumbent. That’s amazing. There will be some who try to say otherwise. Some will point to these numbers—without any of the extremely important context of this race—and claim this proves that the centrists are right, that a candidate offering change has no chance in Long Island. Ignore them and keep building. This is not a huge loss. It’s an incredible beginning. I want you to know that I did absolutely everything I could with the time and resources I had. I have worked harder over these last few months than at any other point in my life, which is saying a lot. It was not enough this time, but the reality is that few people win the first time they run for office against an incumbent (even in much better circumstances). I am grateful for the relationships I have built along the way, as well as the help and encouragement I have received. I still believe that better things are possible. While this campaign ended yesterday, the work did not. Elections can be a powerful tool for change, but they are far from the only one. I am not going anywhere. I did not run for Congress for myself. I ran for the people in NY-03. I ran because I care deeply about my community, and Rep. Suozzi was not doing enough to support his constituents. Many of us are struggling to make ends meet, our rights are under attack, and Rep. Suozzi continues to sit on the fence. There was a time that was simply disappointing behavior. In 2026, it is dangerous. All of those things are still true. So I will keep showing up for my neighbors. I will keep standing with vulnerable and marginalized communities. I will keep fighting for the world we deserve. I hope that you will, too. I will also keep paying attention to Rep. Suozzi’s voting record. I hope this election has reminded him that he represents people who want him to be fighting back against fascists, not collaborating with them. I hope he will finally meet this moment. But if Rep. Suozzi continues to betray his constituents, House terms are short, and the next election is always right around the corner. Thank you for being on this journey with me. The SCREEN Act is not just another age-verification bill — it goes much further than anything passed at the state-level or in other countries.

1. The bill doesn't just target porn sites. It goes after *any* site that allows material "harmful" to minors.

I am not a scientist, but this seems bad.

I miss when we didn't have a frequent apocalyptic wildfires season.

Washington, which currently has a very uncontrolled fire in Spokane, is full of active fire symbols. Other active fires visible in nearly every state from Texas to the Pacific, from Canada to Mexico. This might be a bit advanced for the average ICE officer in 2026, but "executing" an arrest warrant is not supposed to involve an execution in the homicide sense of the word.

Mainstream Respectable opinion is that people joking about a bad person's death represents a culture of cruelty, but really it represents a culture of impunity. It's a coping mechanism for watching someone do evil their whole life and never seeing consequences

My condolences to Lindsey Graham's family.

I have nothing positive to say for the man himself. It is impossible to know how many lives Graham had a hand in ruining or ending. Far too many.

Graham's death is a reminder to spend the time you have here loving others and doing good.

He didn't.
