A private arbitrator has ordered The Washington Post to rehire opinion columnist Karen Attiah with back pay, after she was fired over tweets about Charlie Kirk.

"This is a victory for journalism, for anyone who wants to stand up for just speaking the truth," says @karenattiah.bsky.social

This is exactly why we organize! The ability to go to arbitration and win @karenattiah.bsky.social her job back only exists because of the strong @postguild.bsky.social collective bargaining agreement.

Solidarity forever! ✊
Wearing @postguild.bsky.social red today.

I was able to challenge my @washingtonpost.com firing — and win reinstatement plus back pay — all thanks to being a part of the @wbng.org Guild.
