Canada is, from the capitalist point of view, a settler-colonial "success story"--and even an example to current settler-colonial projects like Israel. That is why Canada refuses to enact measures to bring justice and accountability for past crimes, and refuses to condemn genocide by other states.
On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour all of those impacted by residential schools and continue to advocate for decolonization, decriminalization and decarceration.
This day serves as a reminder that the harm caused by residential schools is profound and persists in Canada. (1/4)
