For worldbuilding reasons, I needed to deduce if Martians could safely digest perchlorates. I promise this is about Rhythm Heaven.

This isn't like the average online petition btw, this is one of those things where if it gets enough signatures, the HOC absolutely must bring it to the floor for discussion. Incredibly important to get on this if you're Canadian.
Canadians! There is a petition to sign to protest Mastercard and Visa's control over the purchase of legal adult content. This is specifically about the Steam & itchio situation, but language protects adult creators.

We're not in theoretical "they could come after sfw queer content LATER" territory anymore. It is being used to come after sfw queer content NOW.
Spread this around, send the article to any and every news outlet/content creator you can think of. The alarms need to be sounded
And KEEP CALLING

There's a good tactic to keep them on the phone longer in here: Start by saying you're concerned about a statement that the processor has put out, and then read the entire statement without stopping. This will cause confusion and awkwardness if they just repeat it back to you, which they likely will

Currently on the phone with Visa
Instead of starting with a complaint, I approached this as a Confused American Consumer who doesn't understand why they can't buy things off a website they use
The call center rep immediately asked if it was about Steam/itch

Ok I just called Visa since that's my card issuer.
1. Played dumb with frontline customer support ("why can't I buy my friends game on Steam / Itch"). They tried to dump me to email but I escalated to a supervisor.
2. Played smart with the supervisor, and caught them in a lie... 👇

Report it to the BBB and start recording your calls. If you get some absolutely wild shit like some people have been reporting on, post it up everywhere you can.

This thing only needs another 25k signatures. With the amount of porn on this site, this should be a cakewalk for us.
