We are watching these developments very carefully. The new route almost certainly avoids our woodlands but would still, most likely, run through important Barbastelle bat habitat, and possibly impact woodland elsewhere in the valley.

We are watching these developments very carefully. The new route almost certainly avoids our woodlands but would still, most likely, run through important Barbastelle bat habitat, and possibly impact woodland elsewhere in the valley.

I went to say hello to the hoary stag oak in our wood at the weekend. The highlight of the walk was accidentally disturbing a barn owl from its roost in a veteran oak on the woodland edge. It flew right over me. Both oaks would have been destroyed had the road been built.

The electricity-to-gas price ratio is the biggest barrier to electrifying European homes.
Heat pumps deliver ~3 units of heat per unit of electricity. The maths works in Sweden but not everywhere.
