In the 1970s, over 80% of UK children travelled to school independently. This has fallen to 25% - impacting health, well being, independence etc.
In London, we're tackling the school run. With 870 school streets, 66% of kids now walk, cycle or scoot.

We didn't 5x the Cycleways network in London overnight. It took vision, hard work, & the conviction to invest in green infrastructure - often in the face of vocal opposition.
In 2016, we had 90km of Cycleways. Now we're at 450km. That's progress. And we're not stopping there.

An incredibly well-timed Landsat 9 pass captured the effects of yesterday’s catastrophic glacier collapse near the Nepal–Tibet border. The event was so massive that it was detected by seismometers around the world.

TfL & Hackney Council are now working on new pedestrian crossings on the N&S side and relocating the crossing on the eastern side of the junction to allow Cycleway 50 to progress.

With 100s of km of walking trails, accessible from the tube & public transport, it's one of London's best assets which welcomes 10m visitors a year.
