This is always an interesting dynamic to me in terms of gendered unpaid labor because men will be like "stop shopping you buy too much" without realizing that actually it's a question of "buy a ton once every week or two" or "trips to the store every other day because you ran out of something"
The thing about men who do not manage shopping for a family of four is, shopping for a family of four and especially shopping for a family in advance looks like ABSOLUTE INSANITY to them

Gen Z helped organize and sustain enormous protest movements, including the George Floyd demonstrations and the Gaza campus protests. Depicting them as politically inert erases a substantial & exceptionally well-documented history of youth activism and also just fucking irritates me on their behalf.
Young people (who of course have protested in RECORD numbers in the past few years, here and around the globe) are being asked to survive conditions they did not create, but somehow their exhaustion is a punchline.

do not funnel your grief over this death into trek and x-men merch, paramount & disney dont need your money. go to plays, give to charities, vote for candidates who will fund public art, and you will make it possible for people like patrick stewart to exist and keep existing. a rising tide lifts all
If you want more Patrick Stewarts, then you publicly fund the arts and learning programs, so that working class kids can find their way into making a career in them.
