Congressional candidate is raped while repairing her campaign signs
Embarrassed, she initially didn’t want to report attack. Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office's investigation is ongoing.

they DIDN'T REFUND her fucking TUITION?????
"Meanwhile, Jane Doe dropped out of Cornell and was denied her request to get her tuition refunded so that she could transfer to a different college. She hence faced more severe consequences than most of the men who she alleges gang-raped her."

What It Feels Like at Cornell Right Now
As a professor at the Ivy League school, Kate Manne has known many, many victims. There’s a palpable feeling on campus, she writes, that this is big.

Stop telling women what to do. Stop telling us to do all of the work. Stop acting like you know more about our struggle than we do.

Stand up for your fellow human being without any reward because that’s what we’re supposed to do. Ffs.

A man replied to this saying in earnest that women need to get organized and fight for our rights and men will follow.

We did that. We do that. We mobilized the largest single day protest in global history on every continent and yet I have fewer rights than my mom did at my age.
I literally don’t know a single woman who hasn’t been raped, stalked, groped, harassed, or sexually violated in some way at some point in their life.

If you choose to doubt and dox survivors, just know every woman in your life is disgusted by you.

It’s also common for prosecutors not to comment on open cases. This POS is tainting the minds of future jurors by demolishing Jane’s credibility before he even starts reviewing. He still doesn’t want to prosecute this.
ok I'm a little mad at this because the prosecutor basically blames the victim for the lack of charges.

it's common after a media outcry over rape for prosecutors to revisit a case to save face, not out of actual concern for justice.

I remember a really frustrating conversation with a generally decent cishet white guy about a news story where a woman was roofied. he went off about wishing he could beat that guy up to avenge her, and I was like "how about start with calling out your friends' sexist tweets?" and he was like 😳

This may be unfair, but I'm morbidly interested in whether certain Cornell faculty are as worked up about this as they were about the encampments
Yeah, it doesn’t seem like the NYT has given any coverage to the frat gang rape scandal at Cornell.

Not as important as Oberlin’s banh mi or Harvard’s eating clubs I guess

The New York Times has now run two prominently placed stories about Zohran Mamdani's comms department coordinating with unpaid influencers as if it is a huge scandal. Will they cover Trump using our tax dollars to buy literal campaign ads as if it is equivalent scandalous? If not why not?
Politico: Trump is airing a pro-Trump midterms ad on TV that

-includes “paid for by the U.S. government” disclaimer text

-features a song by an artist who says they didn’t approve it’s use and are now looking for a lawyer
Trump administration launches pro-Trump TV ad ahead of midterms
The 30-second ad, apparently paid for by U.S. tax dollars, features photos and videos of Trump, the American flag and military aircraft.

"they're coming for birth control" is not alarmism, that is absolutely next on the agenda

I have my doubts on how successful it'll be but they're going to make a real go of it
MURRAY: The Trump admin falsely labeled birth control as abortion. Do you agree that an IUD is an abortifacient?

OVERTON: If confirmed, I'll be fully briefed

M: That's not an answer. The prospect of an FDA commissioner who doesn't know that birth control isn't an abortion is deeply alarming

I know we're all* numb to this by now, but it really needs to be said that any one of the batshit insane tyrant tweets from our special little boy would've led to swift efforts to remove any other previous president.
The GOP needs to get serious. His family needs to get serious.
This is not something that a stable mind puts out.

An extraordinary set of statistics.
It's pretty damn impressive how much ground Mayor Mamdani has been able to cover after only nine months in office on a wide range of basic quality-of-life issues in NYC.

I was reading through the numbers this morning, and they're kinda astonishing.
